No sooner after the BoK art show opening did I jump straight into a photo shoot. The idea behind the shoot was to find inspiration from an art piece and translate it. Our inspiration came from Goya's portrait of Don Manuel Osorio de Manrique. Accomplishing this shoot would take more than just a few filters (no offense Instagram photographers). This particular shoot involved a talented team of hair, make-up and wardrobe stylist, oh and lets not forget the model. It was easily a 7 hour shoot and that didn't include editing time. In the end everyones effort came together and the images came out amazing.

The Barrels of Krakens group art show is officially open to the public. All the hard work is finally done and I'm sure all the artists are happy about that. Like most things, getting to this point had its challenges but it was well worth the troubles. If you didn't have a chance to make the opening night, Barrels of Krakens runs until the first week of May. Hope you can join us.

We're only 2 weeks away from the Barrels of Krakens group art show. In typical artist fashion I'm still working on some of my pieces. Pictured above, is me working on one of my mini-kraken pieces. I talked to some of the other artists and I'm not alone. Many of the other artists are still putting the final touches on their pieces, rest assure they will be epic.

When the word Kraken is thrown around it's usually accompanied by the words "Release the". However, there is a mightier Kraken you may not be familiar with. This mythical creature I speak of is Kraken Spiced Rum, a delightful, black spiced rum that once it has you in its grips, is nearly impossible to escape. One night while under the intoxicating grips of this mighty Kraken an idea was born. The idea was to take our love for the Kraken and translate it to canvas. Black Top Society presents Barrels of Krakens group art show, art inspired by the Kraken of the sea and the bottle. BTS strives to bring diverse artists under one space. Please join us April 14th for the opening of Barrels of Krakens.

Welcome to the new Transmission77 website. Its been a long time coming but the new site is finally here. I now have a home for all my creative ventures, past and present. Not only will the site host my online portfolio & blog, it will also be home to Black Top Society. BTS is one of my latest projects that will explore a little bit of everything in a e-zine format.
